Jury awards Edison woman $925,000.00for injuries
54 year old Edison woman was awarded $925,000.00 last night after her 3 day trial in Middlesex County Superior Court for injuries sustained in a February 16, 2008 motor vehicle accident on King Georges road in Woodbridge, NJ. John M. Vlasac, Jr from Vlasac & Shmaruk, LLC located in Metuchen, NJ represented the Plaintiff and argued that she sustained permanent spinal injuries to her neck and lower back. The Plaintiff was 51 years old at the time of the accident and despite not undergoing any surgical treatment or procedures, claimed she continues to be plagued with symptoms in her neck, shoulders back and legs from the rear end hit.
The Jury made up of 4 men and 2 women returned their verdict at 5:15 last night concluding the trial held before the Honorable Richard Plechner. The defense in the matter consisted of counsel from the Law Offices of John Kennedy for defendant Lisa Marshall, as well as James Merendino from Connell Foley LLP in Roseland NJ for New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company. The $925.000.00 verdict returned by the jury did not include lost wages or medical expenses.
